The princess to a kingdom in the Enchanted Forest, Snow White was forced to run away when she discovered her evil stepmother's plans to carve out her heart. With her own plans to gather a fortune grand enough to allow her passage to the next realm, Snow took to hiding deep in the woods and resorted to stealing from the Queens' carriages in order to go through with her plans. Jaded by the rough life she had been forced into and the struggle to survive, Snow's heart hardened and she sought only one ending: not a happy one, but a lonely one.

Having initially given up on the notion of true love, it was by happenstance that she came across Prince Charming one day in the woods. Though their first meeting was under unusual circumstances, there was an undeniable spark between the rogue princess and the prince. While they did part ways, eventually they found each other and began to believe that perhaps a happily ever after was within their grasps.

On the day of their wedding, however, the Evil Queen made an unwelcome appearance and warned them of a powerful curse which would take everything that everyone held dear away from them-- especially Snow White and Prince Charming. Haunted by her evil stepmother's words, even the news of Snow's pregnancy wasn't enough to lift the princess's concerns. The true meaning of the Queen's words were discovered upon a visit to Rumpelstiltskin, and precautions were taken to at least ensure the safety of Snow and their unborn child.

Plans had gone awry, however, when the birth of their child came earlier than expected. As the magical wardrobe could only take one, Snow made the decision that their baby -- Emma -- had to be the one to go. Prophesied to be the one who would save them all from the curse, Emma was their only hope of a happily ever after.
